The Management Association is an employers association serving more than 1,000 companies and organizations in the greater Chicago area, Illinois and nationally with human resources and management information and resources.
Services include information resources (including the HR Hotline), compensation and employment practices survey data, human resources services and consulting, HR and leadership training, and employee benefits brokerage services.

Historic Overview:
The Management Association is more than a century old!
1898 - Founded as the Chicago Metal Trades Association.
1905 - Became the Chicago branch of the National Metal Trades Association.
1964 - Name changed to the American Association of Industrial Management, Midwest Division.
1969 - Name changed to Midwest Industrial Management Association (MIMA), a name many of our members still use to refer to us.
1989 - To reflect a more diverse pool of members, name changed to The Management Association of Illinois
2011 - Name shortened to Management Association
