Illinois Department of Employment Security (IDES)
Provides information on unemployment for employers or individuals, the WARN Act (dealing with plant closings and mass layoffs), new hire reporting, paperless tax filing options, stats on the Illinois economy, employee leasing, tax credit programs and labor market information. You can also download forms and posters and find out about other IDES programs.
Illinois Department of Labor (IDOL)
The Department enforces labor laws which regulate wages, hours of work, and working conditions for all Illinois workers (organized and unorganized), resolves employee—employer disputes, and enforces occupational safety and health standards which protect public sector employees.
