Affirmative Action Services

For federal contractors and subcontractors, compliance with complex and ever-changing affirmative action regulations can prove challenging, while non-compliance can prove costly.

Organizations selected for Compliance Evaluations by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) are required to submit their current AAPs and supporting documentation, including a report on prior year goals and progress achieved. Typical programs are several hundred pages long and must include statistical analyses and narratives that comply with OFCCP regulations.

For the Human Resources staff that is short on time, resources, or recent experience with Affirmative Action Program development, the Management Association can simplify the burden.  Do not expose your organization to the risk of non-compliance; comprehensive Affirmative Action Services are available through The Management Association.

When to Request Affirmative Action Services

Given all your other management and administrative responsibilities, you cannot expect to be an Affirmative Action expert. But you can call the Management Association for all the Affirmative Action help you need, when you need it. Call us:

  • When you need an external expert to develop the complete AAP.
  • When you need to update your AAP for the next program year.
  • When you receive notice of an OFCCP Compliance Evaluation.
  • When you receive your first government contract and are not sure about AAP requirements.
  • When you want assistance establishing a compliant applicant tracking system.
  • When you want to assess compensation in keeping with OFCCP's guidelines.
  • When you need an objective review of your existing AAP.
  • When you want an assessment of potential compliance deficiencies.

Select Affirmative Action Services Based on Your Needs

Our professional staff will work with you to interpret regulations and develop a program that is customized to your organization's unique situation.  Our services include all required statistical analyses and narratives including Affirmative Action Programs for covered veterans and workers with disabilities.

Our Experience Makes the Difference

Your organization can take advantage of the expertise we've gained by writing thousands of AAPs for organizations in Illinois and nationwide.

Our ongoing experience and involvement, and our professional relationship with the OFCCP, give us working knowledge of the agency's current focus areas.  Because we know the most frequent areas targeted for investigation, we can recommend preventive measures to take before your organization is selected for a compliance evaluation.

Onsite OFCCP Audit Services

Want help with your OFCCP Onsite Audit visit?  As OFCCP increases its visibility with more onsite audits, the contractor community should have experienced representation on their side.  Our Onsite Audit Services can help you prepare carefully for your onsite investigation and help represent you at the time of your onsite visit.  Please contact us for help with your onsite audit.

We also offer . . .

  • Affirmative Action Program Auditing

To assure steady and progressive achievement of placement goals  established in your AAP, your organization must monitor opportunities in the goal areas and analyze minority and female placement rates to established goals.

For the Human Resources staff that is short on time and resources, The Management Association can simplify this process.  Using your placement year-to-date data we’ll create a Goals Progress Report that will inform you of progress in your goal areas and fulfill your internal audit and monitoring obligations.

  • Impact Ratio Analyses (IRAs)

Does your anticipated layoff have you concerned about adverse impact?  Possible disparate treatment claims?  When staffing cuts are planned, employees may view the action as discriminatory based on race, gender, and age and seek damages through EEOC and IDHR.  Organizations should review and analyze their separation data to determine possible adverse impact concerns.  We can help you analyze your layoffs and reductions in staff before you take action.
