COBRA Briefing: New Requirements Under ARRA

On Tuesday, February 17, 2009, President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) into law.  Changes to how employers administer COBRA are part of this sweeping legislation, including a provision that provides for employers to pay 65% of COBRA premiums for any employees (and their dependents) who are involuntarily terminated between September 1, 2008 and December 31, 2009.  Come to this briefing to learn what new steps you need to take for COBRA administration under ARRA. 

This briefing presumes that participants have basic COBRA knowledge and focuses on the changes under ARRA.  It is not an overview of general COBRA provisions.
