Management Association is excited to announce the recent release of two of our most sought-after surveys: the 2018 Library Survey and the 2018 Metro Chicago Compensation Survey.
This year’s edition contains data from 147 libraries. Compensation is reported for 58 library-specific positions, which is broken out by budget, population served, and employment size. The final report also contains a robust benefits section for both full-time and part-time employees.
New positions surveyed this year include: Technology Librarian, Youth Services Assistant Department Head, Adult Services Assistant Department Head, and Technical Services Assistant Department Head.

2018 Metro Chicago Compensation Survey
This year’s edition contains data from 354 employers in Chicago, the north suburbs, northwest suburbs, west suburbs, southwest suburbs, and south suburbs. Compensation averages, weighted averages, medians, and percentiles are reported for 290 positions, broken out by organization size, geographic area, and industry type. The survey also includes pay model structures and grade summaries by total participants and geographic area.
New positions surveyed this year include: Buyer I, E-Commerce Manager, Office Supervisor, Social Media Coordinator, and Building & Grounds Supervisor.
