Survey Details:

The 2022 Library Survey report has been compiled using data provided by 134 participating libraries who contributed data for 6,087 employees. The survey contains compensation data for 63 jobs as well as benefits for both full-time and part-time employees.

Statistics Provided by Job:

Number of libraries, number of employees, average base pay, median base pay, interquartile ranges (25th and 75th percentiles), extremes (10th and 90th percentiles). Job descriptions are also provided.

Extras included in the survey:

• Summary of statistics on such things as average number of branches, average annual circulation, average operating budget, etc.
• Budget projections for the coming year
• Breakouts by budget category, population category and employment size for each position
• Benefits for full-time and part-time employees on a range of topics such as retirement plans, sick pay, health insurance, health and wellness programs, training, tuition reimbursement and pay administration
