The 2023 National IT & Engineering Compensation Survey presents compensation data submitted by 1,055 U.S. firms of varying sizes, geographic locations, and industries for 202 job classifications.
This survey is conducted in cooperation with 6 other associations nationwide who are a part of the Employer Associations of America (EAA), of which HR Source is a member.

- Formal Merit Salary Ranges
Each job classification is displayed by sub-groupings:
- 18 Industries — Manufacturing, Non-Manufacturing and Financial Services, etc.
- 5 Sales Volume/Operating Budget categories
- 6 Asset Sizes
- 8 Employee Size breakouts
- 3 Profit Status categories
- 6 Regions — (Central Plains, Great Lakes, Mountain, Northeast, Pacific and Southeast)
- Metropolitan Areas
