Resolve to Participate

The beginning of a new year is a great time to set a new goal or to make a resolution to change something, be it your diet, fitness level, work-life balance, or some other aspect of your personal or professional life. A new year also signals the beginning of a whole new year's worth of surveys and data!

Currently open for participation is the 2017 Turnover Survey, which is a members-only survey collecting voluntary and involuntary separation data. The final report is broken out by industry and employment size. This survey typically takes only a few minutes to complete and can even be done through your phone or tablet. This survey is due on January 26. 

Another survey to keep an eye out for is the 2018 National Executive Compensation Survey, launching today! This survey gathers data for 47 executive-level positions. In the final report, compensation data is segmented by sales volume, employer size, industry, region, and geographic area. The report also shows statistics for base salary, variable pay, target incentives, and total cash compensation. This year, the survey has been streamlined to include a separate section of benefits and perks by job group. This survey is open from January 9th through February 16.

Results for two other Management Association surveys are scheduled for release this month:  

The 2018 Non-Profit Survey gathered data on 121 positions and contains a robust benefits section, including: Flexible Work Hours, Paid Leave, Sick Leave, Vacation, Personal Days, PTO, Holidays, Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Travel Reimbursement, Retirement, Tuition/Professional Reimbursement, Compensation, and Turnover.  Compensation data is segmented by budget, employment size, and service industry.    

The 2018 Park and Recreation Compensation Survey is a new survey and gathered data for 51 positions in the industry. Compensation data will be segmented by agency type, operating budget, and Equalized Assessed Value (EAV).
