HR Source provided aged data from its 2021 Metro Chicago Compensation Survey for the production of this national survey sponsored by the Employer Associations of America (EAA) of which HR Source is a member. Nineteen (19) EAA associations nationwide representing 30 states took part in this edition of the survey which has been conducted on an annual basis since 1983. Each local association uses the same set of benchmark job descriptions so that data can be combined nationally and compared across areas.
This survey is very useful for companies who have facilities in more than one major city/state and would like to be able to compare/access data from many areas in one survey. For those members who want only local data, choose our regular Metro Chicago Compensation Survey for the most current and detailed data available.
Data is taken from each association's local survey, aged to a common date of January, and presented for 151 benchmark jobs:
- Office, Clerical, and Technical Occupations
- Supervisory and Professional Occupations
- Production Trades Occupations
Each job shows statistics for the weighted average, median and mid 50% range (25th and 75th percentiles) and is broken out by the areas listed above.
