If you're anything like me, you've been anxiously waiting for it to finally feel like springtime in the Midwest. Spring always seems to be the perfect time for fresh starts, new initiatives, or meaningful changes. Now might be the right time to think about attaining an HR Certification or ensuring that you're on track to qualify for re-certification. The Management Association continues to partner with HR Certification Institute (HRCI), and together we can help you achieve your professional goals. 

This year, there are a number of exciting changes happening with HRCI's certifications. The most important is that the content and the format of both the PHR (Professional in Human Resources) and SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources) exams have been revised. The new content outlines for PHR and SPHR are available on the HRCI website. The new exams will include a combination of multiple choice, multiple choice with multiple responses, fill in the blank, drag and drop, and scenarios, instead of being entirely made up of multiple choice questions. All exams scheduled after August 1, 2018, will cover the new content and be in the new format. Also, please note that HRCI is now using a new testing vendor partner, Pearson VUE to administer their certification exams.

Finally, there are a few distinct advantages for Management Association members due to our alliance with HRCI. In addition, the Management Association maintains a strong commitment to preparing HR professionals for the certification exams through our preparation courses. And, once certified, we offer many ways to keep your knowledge and skills current through educational programs, survey completion, and the offer of three recertification credits each year (12 total per recertification cycle) for being employed at an Association member organization.
